Hiba Nawab of Jijaji Chhat Par Hai speaks to FILMY TOWN
Actor Hiba Nawab who plays the role of Elaichi in Binaifer and Sanjay Kohli’s ‘Jijaji Chhat Par Hain’, says that she has been getting amazing feedback for her role. “I am getting a great response from all the age groups, kids to old people. Every time my fans visit me or I get a call from my relatives, they tell me that Elaichi is so notorious and that I should make sure to preserve that,” she says.
The actor says that it’s a proud moment for her since the show has completed 100 episodes. “I feel great that we have completed 100 episodes. The team is putting in so much effort and people are loving our show. There are fans who watch the same episode twice or thrice. I am happy that we are making people laugh through our show,” she says.
In fact, shooting the show is also fun, says Hiba. “Every day we do different scenes and when we sit for reading the script, we start laughing, reading the scripts. Shooting every scene is so much fun,” she says.
Hiba loves working with Binaifer and Sanjay as well. “It’s a great experience to work with them. They are very punctual and professional and really teach you to be on time as well. I feel I am learning a lot working with them,” she says.
The actor says that playing every character can be challenging. “I think whenever you are playing a character that you have not done before, it becomes difficult. I am not like Elaichi in real life and she is very different from the other characters also that I have played. Now, I think I am finally getting into her skin,” she says.
Ask her who is her favourite comedian in Bollywood and she says, “I love Johnny Lever and I enjoy watching his films. I love Govinda too and used to watch so many of his films as a child.”
